For me, losing a few pounds is not something that makes all the worry. So to lose 3 pounds in 3 days isn't really made me into something that should be a concern. But to be honest my wife is very competitive, and he and his friend have been dieting and exercising together, so they had compared their weight loss progress each week.
They both work out at the gym the same and weigh together every Friday night. Well, until now they have been keeping pace with each other, but my wife heard from one of the trainers in the gym that his friend managed to lose 5 pounds while my wife just managed to lose two, and just 3 days remain until the next weigh in. Of course that means my beloved wife just had to lose 3 pounds in 3 days to keep in step.
I tell my wife that he should not try and push it. In my mind, it's not safe if you don't have a plan. I am concerned that he is so fixated on “I had to lose 3 pounds in 3 days “that he will throw all the vigilance and continue in a manner that is unsafe or unhealthy. I am glad to know that he consulted with his coach in the gym to improve her gymnastics routines safely to burn some extra calories every workout.
He adds a bit of weight training and cardio more and does so only under the strict guidance of a fitness professional. He also modify his diet a little to help achieve his plan to lose 3 pounds quickly, but then again he did it only after talking with Assistant doctor in the doctor's Office.
I must say, he is fulfilling his purpose. In the end, my wife did what she had to do to lose 3 pounds in 3 days, but thankfully he did it in a way that ensures he's not damaging herself in the process. Oh, and his friend? He eventually lost a total of seven pounds for a week and my wife's weight is five. So while he doesn't fit in with his friend, pound-for-pound, he is good enough to feel pleased with his progress themselves. I guess, in the end, that's what counts.
